The 80 Series are a high performance range of hand held LCD analogue/digital multimeters, combining advanced measurement functions with unique self protecting safety features. All models feature frequency, duty cycle and capacitance measuring facilities in addition to standard multimeter functions. "Input Alert" is provided by an audible warning if the test probe jack connections are connected to either input, when the multimeter is set on voltage or resistance ranges. The FLUKE 83 and
FLUKE 85 feature fast 3 3/4 4000 count digit displays and a high resolution 43 segment analogue bargraph display which is updated 40 times per second. A zoom mode is provided to increase the bargraph sensitivity to enable nulling and noise measurement. The FLUKE 87 features true RMS measurement on a "black-lit" 4 digit display with analogue indication displayed by a high resolution analogue pointer.
